Our company has a mission! It is to offer all women the most well designed and highly supportive sports bras and bathing suits possible! We have another mission too. To encourage women to believe in their fitness dreams. No dream is too big or too small. All it takes is a plan, some hard work and the right tools. On the journey to feeling great, we know that having a comfortable and truly supportive sports bra can be the difference between working out, or throwing in the towel. We want you to feel supported and confident as you set out to get fit. No matter where you are with yourself, the time to begin is now!
OUR STORY
Our patented sports bras and bathing suits were designed by American Sports Bra founder, Hilary Lambert. She began selling the bras in 2009. As an athlete competing in marathons, playing high school soccer and tennis, and rowing varsity crew at Brown University, Hilary has always known what it means to need a good sports bra. She remembers all the way back to the 8th grade, running down the basketball court with one of her friends, worried about their bras! Years later, in college, and still unable to find a sports bra that supported her comfortably and with style, she decided to make one for herself. After talking to hundreds of women of all shapes and sizes, Hilary continued to improve on her initial design by making samples and testing them out. The result of years of work was a sports bra so special that it received a United States Patent.For more information on how the design works, check out the design and fit page. After designing the sports bra, Hilary realized that she also wanted women to be able to swim, compete in triathlons, or simply run around at the beach without feeling self-conscious about their upper bodies. So, she created a sports bathing suit, The Lillian, based on the same patented technology as the sports bra. You can feel supported and confident in this bathing suit. You can even go for a run in it and then jump into the water!
